TMoms @ 22: Group Art Show Open Call For Submissions

It’s Tattooed Mom’s 22nd Birthday! In celebration, we are throwing a one night party and open call art show featuring Tmoms themed work. Hundreds of artists from around the world visit Tattooed Moms every year to put their work on the walls and to see the art of others that have recently passed through. Now we invite all artists inspired by Tattooed Mom, near and far, to submit their artwork and be part of a group art show celebration. There is no entry fee, and we are welcoming all art forms, including photography, painting, drawing, sculpture and multimedia pieces relating to Tattooed Moms. We will also be selecting one special piece to be featured on a future limited edition Tattooed Moms artist series tee shirt!

All submissions must be dropped off in person or mailed to 530 South St, Philadelphia, PA 19147 by May 13, 2019. Please be sure to include your name or instagram as you would like it credited plus whatever method of contact you prefer (instagram DM / email / text).  It is the artist’s responsibility to pick up all submitted art after the show. All art must be picked up by May 24, 2019. It is the artist’s responsibility to enclose a self addressed prepaid return packaging if they want their mailed-in piece returned. Artists keep 100% of all sales. Art can/will be for sale, but it is the responsibility of the artist to be there to sell it, or set up another arrangement ahead of time with someone who can be on site to handle the sale of their piece. Artist selected for the tee shirts will get their art on a limited edition Tmoms artist series shirt, as well as a gift card and a supply of the shirts with their design on it.

Turn Up The Trans*mission: February 2019

Combining trans* advocacy with live performance, Turn Up the Trans*mission is a variety show with no equal. Including burlesque, drag, live-singing, spoken word, and other performance styles, this varied collection of artists has a purpose. Community building and visibility are two main goals of the show, and as such, all donations to our show go directly to the performers/cast/crew.

Our programming aims to create a space for trans* identified performers to express their art without fear of prejudice. We are here to create awareness and share our experiences to break down barriers of bigotry. Turn Up the Trans*mission has featured local and visiting transgender and/or non-binary and/or gender non-conforming artists, and strives to introduce new performers to their lineup every show.
