Philly For Change: May 2018

PHILLY FOR CHANGE is where local progressives meet to discuss progressive change.  It’s a monthly opportunity to meet and engage candidates for local office, ask questions and get involved with grass roots activism.

At this month’s meeting PFC will be voting on 2018 primary endorsements & Philadelphia’s City Commissioner Lisa Deeley will be talking about the new requirements for voting machines.

This month’s guests include U.S. Representative Brendan Boyle; his challenger  in the new 2nd District Michelle Lawrence; Kevin Johnson vying for the new 3rd District;  Dan Muroff, candidate for the new 4th; and Joe Webster, Red-to-Blue Harrisburg candidate for the 150th. PHILLY FOR CHANGE is where Philadelphians from all over the region meet to discuss progressive change.  It’s a monthly opportunity to meet and engage candidates for local office, ask questions and get involved with grass roots activism.

Join Philly For Change for a special Monday night gathering, rescheduled from last week’s mini snowpocalypse! Speakers include Congressional Rep. Dwight Evans, running in the 3rd district; Dan Muroff for Congress, former CeaseFirePA Board President, running in the new 5th; John Fetterman, candidate for Lt. Govenor, and Movita Johnson-Harrell, the new District Attorney’s Supervisor of Victim Services.

THIS is the Pizza Performance Art Showcase that you never knew you needed!

Join in on the merriment as artists and performers pay homage to this perfect food of the gods, all the while supporting a great cause, the PMA Bike Ride, a band of bikers who give pizza to the homeless in Philadelphia.
