We’re stoked to announce our next open mic and artist pop-up at Tattooed Mom’s again on Tuesday April 16th, from 6-10pm! This mic is special however, because we are collaborating with another fabulous supporter of Philly poetry, @bringablanketreadingseries to promote their first ever printed ZINE and celebrate their ONE YEAR anniversary.

Created and run by Alexandra Naughton and Josh Dale of Thirty West Publishng Bring A Blanket Reading Series (@bringablanketreadingseries) is Philadelphia’s indoor/outdoor monthly reading series that celebrates locals and travelers alike. They have held events at Washington Square Park, A Novel Idea on East Passyunk, and Lot 49 Books, to name a few.

We’re happy to introduce their community to ours in this joint endeavor to show the mic at Tattooed Mom (530 South St) a heavy dose of poetry, spoken word, and expression!

To further the celebrate the community behind both poetry zines, we’ll have raffles going all night, and an incredible lineup of vendors (sign ups open now in the link below)
