Artist Bios:
Emily Abendroth is a Philadelphia-based poet, teacher, and anti-prison activist. Her poetry is often published in limited edition, handcrafted chapbooks by small and micropresses such as Albion Press, Belladonna, Horse Less Press, Little Red Leaves, and Zumbar. She has been awarded residencies at the MacDowell Colony, the Millay Colony, and the Headlands Center for the Arts. In 2012, she was named a Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation Creative Fellow and in 2013, a Pew Fellow in Poetry. She is the author of the poetry collection ]Exclosures[ (Ahsahta Press, 2014) and The Instead, a book-length collaborative conversation with fiction writer Miranda Mellis (Carville Annex Press, 2016).

Ahmad Almallah is a lecturer of Arabic and Arabic literature at the University of Pennsylvania. His book Bitter English is now available from the University of Chicago Press.

Erika Howsare is a poet from Virginia whose second book, How Is Travel a Folded Form?, came out last year from Saddle Road Press. You can read her prose at Longreads, The Rumpus and The Millions. She likes to take photos of the ground and often posts them at erikahowsare.com.
