Lexi Spino is a 25 year old poet from York, PA. She released a chapbook through Poemsugar Press in 2013 called I’m A Wanderer, Not A Runaway that was mainly about depression and dealing with mental illness. Since then she has made a spoken word EP called Suicidal Since Birth featuring local musicians that was released last year. It is available on bandcamp and on cassette. She also wrote an e-book titled A Collection Of [Not Such] Simplicity in which is free to any who are interested. She is currently on a mini tour for her newest book This Is Not For You. Known as the Joan Jett of poetry Lexi has formed an edge around her words and performance that takes depressing concepts and gives it a punch that leaves you on the floor with the wind taken out of you.
